The results have been released for one of the most prestigious and influential British competitions in the global wine industry: the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA). On this occasion, a distinguished panel of experts awarded Silver Medal and an outstanding 90 points for two wines from the Gran Reserva portfolio from Viña Tarapacá.
For the sixteenth version of the DWWA, a comprehensive multinational jury comprised of 280 experts from the world of wine evaluated over 16,500 wines from 57 countries worldwide
On this exclusive occasion, Viña Tarapacá –which boasts over 140 years’ history– stood out among numerous competitors with two of its red varieties from the Gran Reserva range, which both received 90 points and Silver Medal.
The Gran Reserva Tarapacá Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 was described as “Sleek and perfumed with red berry fruit, herb and balsa wood, while the palate is brimming with dark plum, cherry and spice”.
