Since 1874, in the heart of the Maipo valley, Viña Tarapacá has been crafting unique wines of outstanding quality. These estate bottled wines earned their first award in the US in 1876, and have been obtaining awards ever since.
For this edition, more than 3000 wineries were tasted, and among them Viña Tarapacá obtained remarkable scores in its extensive portfolio with an exceptional 93 points for Tarapakay 2011 and 91 for the 2010 harvest.
Following these is the 2012 Gran Reserva Etiqueta Negra with an outstanding 92 points, and, continuing the Gran Reserva line, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc both obtained 91 points.
To complete the recognitions bestowed upon our traditional winery, the 2013 Gran Reserva Pinot Noir, and the 2012 Chardonnay, as well as the 2012 Gran Reserva Etiqueta Azul, all were awarded 90 points.
All are classified in the category Best Wines of Maipo.
