Since 1874, in the heart of the Maipo valley, Viña Tarapacá has been crafting unique wines of outstanding quality. These estate bottled wines earned their first award in the US in 1876, and have been obtaining awards ever since.
A few days ago during the first evening of ProWein 2014, VSPT Wine Group, a prestigious exporter of Chilean and Argentine wine, held a unprecedented exclusive event at the Hyatt Hotel of Düsseldorf for more than 70 wine industry magnates from countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Sweden.
ProWein has undoubtedly become one of the most important international fairs, and VSPT brought to it the best of our country: enological excellence in premium brands such as 1865 Single Vineyard and Limited Edition varieties; Gato Negro, with its new Semi Sweets; Leyda, with the best Pinot Noir in Chile; and Maipo Valley’s choice export Tarapacá, with its White Label, Black Label, and Blue Label – three levels of Chile’s Special Reserve.
This assortment was superbly accompanied by the music of renowned Easter Island pianist Mahani Teave, in an exclusive room of the Hyatt Hotel with a dreamlike view of the Rhine River. Teave delighted the audience with an exquisite repertoire including a magnificent rendition of the popular song “Gracias a la Vida,” the work of another famed Chilean musician, Violeta Parra.
Such was the finale of a tremendously successful event for VSPT. Participation in ProWein 2014 was an important contribution to the construction of Chile’s brand in the presence of important world leaders in the wine industry.
