Gran Reserva
Etiqueta Azul Red Blend
D.O.: Maipo Valley
The climate is temperate Mediterranean, with marked summer and winter seasons. The mesoclimate in the vineyard is influenced in the mornings by warm breezes descending from the Andes Mountains and as they pass through the cold waters of the Maipo River, they enter the "Tarapacá" estate, while in the afternoon it is strongly influenced by breezes coming from the Pacific Ocean that rise towards the Andes Mountains through the Maipo River basin.
This blend perfectly combines the different soils of the Tarapacá estate. First, the "El Mirador" soil series (Cabernet Sauvignon) is characterized by its minerality and the presence of cornerstone rocks and gravels, giving the wine a tasty, balanced palate with good length. Second, the "Piedmont" soil series (Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot) has a very important gravel matrix and good quality clays, resulting in wines with very good body and maturity.
Finally, the "El Ciruelo" soil series (Merlot) is characterized by its east exposure and the presence of a loamy-clay texture and a rocky matrix that give the wines good body and velvety tannins.
